Welcome to the big...
Welcome to the big leagues. As stated by other owners she is a little heavy to carry in the woods but the workout is worth the results. I hunt peanut fields in south GA and feel confident that no deer is out of range. Right now I'm shooting 162gr A-max Moly coated hornady reloads and nailing tacks at 150yds. Big bullet, Big bang, Big results. Don't let the recoil scare you. The wieght of the gun and desgin of recoil pad makes it very comfortable to shoot. Ammo price is coming down on this caliber but reloads are more accurate and half the price of factory. Happy and safe shooting.

Very nice gun. If you...
Very nice gun. If you are wanting a lightweight gun do not buy this one. It is pretty heavy, but what can you expect with a bull barrel. This gun shoots very well. I put a nightforce scope on mine and have it sighted in out to 550 yards. I plan on going all the way out to 1,000 if the wind will ever quit blowing (I live in Oklahoma). I just bought dies to start reloading. Buying ammo for this thing will set you back around $58 a box and you have a very limited selection. I will let you know how it shoots after I get some rounds loaded for it. The action is very smooth and tight.
