Great quality rifle...
Great quality rifle for the price. Action is very strong and surprisingly smooth. I like the metal in the magazine which feeds flawlessly. \\r\ The stock is very light and flexes a lot in the fore end. Seems to kick more than my heavier 7mm Rem Mags. \\r\ I wish I could comment on accuracy, but the scope is so bad I have to replace it to really know. Mine did not come with a Vortex Crossfire. Scope has zero brand markings and very poor eye relief. Less than two inches so I have even gotten scope eye once. Scope is not clear and hard to focus. \\r\ I will say it seems that the rail and mounts are holding up well. Sling holes are working great and butt pad is comfy. I like this gun enough to throw it in a Boyd's and put a quality scope on it. I would have given it five stars if not for the scope and stock. Bud's service was spot on as usual.

This is a great rifle...
This is a great rifle for the price, but the reticle in the scope shot loose after only 3 shots of 7mm mag recoil (and the reticle started to rotate and rattle within the scope). As for the rifle proper, the action/barrel needed to be more carefully remounted in the stock in order to effectively float the barrel, and the trigger was easily adjustable to a very clean/light break. My rifle seemed to prefer heavier bullets. The Hornady 139gr GMX load shot into around 3 inches, but the 150 and 165gr Federal Premium loads both grouped under 1.5 inches with the 165gr load posting a group under .75 MOA. The surprise was the Barnes Vortex 160gr load posting a 0.5 inch group. Federal Fusion 175gr ammo went into 1.5 inches. Not bad for a $300 rifle. I should also mention that the recoil pad was very effective at taking the sting out of the magnum recoil during the bench session. All-in-all, a great value for the price, but I'd skip the cheap scope/rings and just buy something decent from the get go (I was curious about the cheap scope that came with the gun, and had planned on replacing it anyways if the gun shot well. The dismal performance of the scope revealed that, in optics, you tend to get what you pay for).
