My barrel was not free...
My barrel was not free floated. Had to spend two hours filing it out and also filing the tops of the pillars for good contact with the receiver. Groups shrank from average of 1.2" with factory ammo to .75 MOA with first handloads. Hot loads have violent recoil with the short barrel and no muzzle device. Light loads are fine. This rifle has a lot going for it: Picatinny rail, oversize bolt knob, heavy barrel, threaded muzzle, adjustable trigger, easy barrel change and headspacing, all at a very good price. Wish I had bought the 24" barrel version for long-range target shooting but this one ain't bad.

I added a vortex...
I added a vortex crossfire and laser bore sighted it. First eleven shots at 100 yards could be covered by my fist, with the last 3 touching. Only issue I had was the stock needed some sanding to free float the barrel.

I received this rifle...
I received this rifle today and will be sending it to get fixed tomorrow. The chamber has a very large burr that makes it impossible to close the bolt and when it did finally close the round stayed chambered because the detent ball was missing from the extractor. I had to put a piece of steel shot on the extractor spring so i could remove the stuck case. Im hoping I just got a bad one but I hate getting a gun i cannot use because of the 6-8 week warranty turn around.
