This model from the Remington family is an outstanding example of what a precision bolt action rifle should be. Tight, well balanced, heavy and accurate. This rifle is capable of tight groups at 600 yards with a good scope and a good rifleman.

For those familiar...
For those familiar with the earlier "5R Milspec" rifles, be warned, these are similar but not the same! These new "5R Stainless" rifles come with 5R barrels, however they do NOT have the original 1:11.25" twist rate... they now come with 1:10 twist rate (marked as such on the barrel and the box description no longer uses the word Milspec). I had one of the originals and it was an excellent rifle. My new one, however, from the first round had very heavy bolt lift and a pretty nasty ejector drag mark on the head of fired cases. I tried PMC 147 FMJ, Hornady 150 American Whitetail, Federal Gold Medal Match 175gr, as well as Hornady Precision Hunter 178 ELD-X. After only firing 5 rounds and all of these factory ammunition had the same heavy bolt lift and ejector marks, I called Remington and got a return tag. It has now been several weeks and I have yet to hear anything back from them. Hopefully it gets fixed and the new barrels shoot as well as the original Milspec.

This Gun is amazing....
This Gun is amazing. The slide is great. Sub MOA. I didnt care for the trigger, so I swapped that out. Also put the Magpul mag received on it and it work with zero issues. I may purchase another for my son. Bud's is the best!!!
