The Remington Model 700 SPS Tactical AAC-SD is a precision-focused bolt-action rifle chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. Its 20-inch heavy-contour, hammer-forged barrel is threaded 5/8x24 for compatible flash hiders, muzzle brakes, and suppressors. A black synthetic Hogue overmolded stock with a semi-beavertail fore-end provides a stable, secure platform, while dual-point pillar bedding supports consistent accuracy. The rifle also features the proven Model 700 three-rings-of-steel receiver and an externally adjustable X-Mark Pro trigger.

Review is going to be in 2 parts, one for the process with Bud's, one on the actual product from Remington. 4.5 stars for Buds - The process was very simple, it just took too long to verify the check was posted to their account delaying shipping for about 5 days. The FAQ said that it may happen, but in my mind this is a little excessive as my account was deducted the day after. I do however recommend Buds and will be purchasing from them in the future! 4 stars for Remington - The firearm was almost exactly as described....almost. The Remington website states that all 700's are now being shipped with Timney triggers, in this case the Timney Impact. I pulled it out of the box at the shop and saw no Timney logo on the safety and a screw adjustment on the trigger. Checked the SKU on the box with the website and they were identical: R84204. The rifle was shipped with a X-Mark Pro Adjustable trigger. Seeing that you can adjust the trigger with the X-Mark, I am not going to request a replacement especially when there is little to no creep in it. The Timneys are factory set between 3 and 4lbs, non adjustable. Build quality was visually pleasing with no defects. Replaced the stock with an HS Precision PST 012 and again no visual defects internally. Action was a little gritty at first (typical for a 700) but after some oil and about 50 cyclings it is improving quickly. Have not taken it to the range and can only hope that everything is blueprinted correctly at this point. While I have not purchased a Remington in 20 years (missed the QC issues apparently), I can say that this product is worth a look - you will not be disappointed.

Through no fault of...
Through no fault of buds. Mine had misaligned scope mounts had to send it back to remington. Only to get it back and shoot it. It would key hole at 100 yards with any ammo. Sent it back AGAIN got it back and sold it.
