The Remington R25 is a semiautomatic 7mm-08 Remington hunting rifle designed around a rugged AR-style platform. Its 20-inch fluted carbon steel barrel uses a recessed crown, a .680-inch muzzle, a 1-in-10-inch twist, and a Koelbl single-rail gas block. The free-floated aluminum handguard supports consistent barrel performance, while the camouflaged 6066-T aluminum upper and milled 6061-T aluminum lower receiver provide a durable foundation. A fixed A-2 Zytel stock, matching pistol grip, and single-stage hunting trigger complete the field-oriented configuration. The rifle includes a four-round magazine and accepts aftermarket AR .308 type magazines. Its receiver Picatinny rail is ready for an aftermarket optic, and factory standard models do not include sights or a pre-installed optic.
