This is going to be...
This is going to be kinda long sorry in advance. See I'm kinda ticked off and gonna be ranting a bit here. This particular Riley Defense RAK47 was a practically unloadable pile of dog uh um doo (let's keep it clean for the youngsters but, you know what I really meant by doo) I live in Va so I'm stocking up before our terrible new gun laws go into effect and was picking up 3 guns from the FFL that day along with my new Riley RAK47. Much to my regret I did my perfunctory run through of all the rifles' functions except one. In my haste I didn't check the magazine fit, and that was the problem. When I got it home and tried to put in the Pro-mag brand mag that came with it, it barely fit, by barely I mean it took me a good minute or two to squeeze the sucker in there and close to another minute to get it out. It must just be a defective pro-mag, we all know about those guys. No biggie, I've had AKs before I have a pretty big assortment of mags for it. Out of about a dozen metal and plastic magazines by 5 different manufacturers, I could only get 3 into the gun. The really funny part as they were the cheapest mags I had. The promag and 2 super economy level Bulgarian no-name mags. So I contacted Riley Defense and explained my situation, as I just did here. Clearly telling them that the only mags I could even barely fit in the gun were the cheapest most garbage mags I had. Not one of my more expensive mags would fit. They responded by telling me it's because I'm using cheap magazines and the problem would be solved if I bought some more expensive mags, it's like they didn't even listen to me. I haven't felt that blown off in a long time. Who knows what other problems their products have in store for their customers. I'd highly advise against giving this company your hard earned dough. Once they have your cash they could care less about your satisfaction, or possibly your safety. If you really want an American built AK like I did, there's other companies out there that actually care if their customers are happy or not with their purchase.
