The Riley Defense RAK47P is an American-made AK-pattern rifle chambered in 7.62x39mm. Its heat-treated stamped receiver, forged trunnion, and 16.25-inch nitride-finished 4150 steel barrel provide a durable foundation for reliable range and field use. Black polymer furniture includes a fixed buttstock with recoil pad and MIL-SPEC upper and lower handguards with a heat shield. Standard AK sights, a Tapco G2 trigger group, bolt hold-open feature, extended magazine release, and a machined side rail complete the practical configuration. The rifle has a 35.25-inch overall length and accepts 30-round magazines.

Cheap and cheerful...
Cheap and cheerful RAK47. Fit and finish is great . Sights dead on, rivets bucked properly. Put 500 rounds down range without a problem. Seems that Riley has improved their product considerably compared to the first generation RAK47. My only complaint is my 30 rounds PMag was cracked when delivered to my FFL. No big deal it's only a $9 magazine.

This is my first ak...
This is my first ak and it is amazing. Very easy to use, minimal recoil, and easy to modify with one exception. The stock was very stuck into the body of the rifle and I had to have a gunsmith remove it to install the new stock. Even they said it was very difficult to remove. Overall, I would say this is one of the best budget aks available and I plan to buy more from them soon
