This was a distributor...
This was a distributor special (shorter 16" threaded barrel and has a fiber-optic front sight). Beautiful rifle. The 92 pattern lever guns are light and compact, and very strong. My only complaint is that Rossi's laminated stocks (or Triple Black series stocks) have a LOP that is a little too long for my tastes. Very high quality, smooth lever gun.

I wanted a lever...
I wanted a lever carbine that ran the same ammo as the 357 and 38+P revolvers I already owned and Buds delivered with honors. I liked the triple black R92 but wanted a stainless steel version and this Davidson's exclusive was the perfect match. The fit and finish is outstanding and the gray laminate is gorgeous. The action is smooth and effortless. The trigger is crisp and falls right at 5lbs. The green fiberoptic front sight is easy to see through the rear peep sight and the rifle was dead accurate out of the box. The loading gate was a bit stiff but easily worked to fill the tube with eight rounds. Shooting 38 special the felt recoil was nil, almost like a 22LR. It was easy to fire the gun accurately in quick succession while rapidly operating the lever action and maintaining sight picture. The threaded barrel and picatinny rail are excellent tactical editions. The rubber buttstock is comfortable and the 6lb weight of the rifle is well balanced and effortless to handle. I would recommend this rifle to anyone that wants a maneuverable, accurate, beautiful lever carbine and is willing to spend a little extra to get a lot more gun.
