Would not recommend...
Would not recommend this Rossi lever action 92. Customer service is disappointing. Loading gate would not work, after inspection the feeding lifter is 1/16th inch to large, preventing the loading gate to load the rifle.

Rossi makes some...
Rossi makes some really nice guns these days, but if you get the odd lemon, you're in for a real disappointment with customer service. The crown on this one was badly burred and the muzzle threads are so eccentric to the bore that firing the gun with a suppressor would ruin the suppressor. The threads were indicated off the OD of the barrel, NOT the ID of the bore. I checked this with a rod and a baffle strike would have been guaranteed, so I completed the required paperwork and called Rossi. Half hour on hold yielded a helpful and polite rep who sent me a return label. Good so far. FedEx provided me with delivery confirmation with a signature at Rossi, but a month later Rossi STILL says they're waiting for my gun to be delivered.They received it, signed for it and LOST it and don't answer e-mails pertaining to its status. When I ordered this rifle from Bud's, I ordered a "normal" lever from Rossi - TWO MONTHS ago. They charged my card and have not shipped it. Three calls (an hour and a half on hold combined) and they keep telling me it will arrive in X days. STILL don't have it. I submitted all the paperwork for the "rebate' (a Heritage 22 revolver) and their site claims the rebate was "fulfilled," but neither I nor my chosen FFL have seen it or heard anything about it. Rossi CS had no answer for me regarding the status. I like their guns, but will never buy one again. Their CS is awful, so if you're unlucky enough to get one that needs repair, or if you order parts or accessories, BUYER BEWARE. This is the single most frustrating and stressful firearm purchase I've ever made in over six decades of buying firearms. They get ONE star, because I can select NEGATIVE stars.
