This will be a review of the pros and cons: Pros: This rifle and shotgun lock up tight on closing. It aims very well in being balanced so it is not whippy. It is light and perfect for backpacking, pickups and youth. Being small it is still manageable for adults to use. The rifle sights are very good to see and use in being colored. The finish is well done. The rifle opens easy and closes easy. The safe and fire mechanism is easy to operate and see. Cons: The fore end had problems locking onto the rifle barrel, as this is a screw set up based on the swivel. The fore end is mounted by a screw swivel. The sites while easy to see are plastic inserts which have ways of breaking as they have on Ithaca shotguns. I purchased this rifle shotgun combo, because not everyone is right handed. I needed something ambidextrous for left handed shooters, and as H & R ceased being customer friendly, Rossi is what was left. I am pleased with the rifle and shotgun. It is perfect for small frame shooters and is handy for stowing away on trips, for trapping or hunting. I would buy this combo again. Except for the slight problem of the fore end not lining up, it is a gun that is worth the purchase price, and would have received 5 stars, but for that.
