I'd give more than 4...
I'd give more than 4 stars if the trigger housing was aluminum (and the blade). That aside, in stock form it was 'good enough' but I did change the charging handle out to a lager one and installed an extended mag release. Also swapped the bolt catch to one that allows one hand operation, a true 'must'. The box mag is fine, the 15rd magazines have too much play when mated, had to modify each one, a known issue. [Come on Ruger.] I worked on the bolt, lapped the face on a 1,200 grit diamond stone, polished all sides, top and reshaped the back/lower parts to a radius where it meets the hammer. Also polished the trigger sears. The BX in all its plastic glory shows a 2lbs 9oz. pull weight. The rubber recoil buffer lug is recommended. At the range, was smooth and no malfunctions of any kind with Federal AutoMatch. The Hogue stock feels good but will show all scuffs in 90 seconds. This is mass produced but based on a proven platform with lots of aftermarket support. My first, glad I have one.
