The Ruger 77 Gunsite Scout .308 Win bolt action rifle is built with Gunsite and features the Gunsite name roll mark on the receiver. It combines integral, stable scope mounting surfaces with a forward-mounted Picatinny rail for easy optics setup, while still providing a non-glare built-in sighting system. The adjustable ghost ring rear aperture and blade front post help you stay on target even if you choose to run iron sights. I am very pleased with...
I am very pleased with this rifle. It is the 2nd GSS I have had and they are both well-made, accurate rifles that make excellent all-around "if you could only have one gun" firearms. No rifle is perfect for everything, but both of these rifles are very good at a lot of things. This rifle averages right around and inch at one hundred yards with several factory loads and a little better than that with Hornady Superformance 150 grain ammo. It has the 18-inch barrel and balances a little better in the hand than the 16.5 inch model. The trigger isn't exceptional but it's definitely not bad and, if you can't shoot well with it, the problem is probably not the trigger. It's a handy little gun and I plan on keeping it for a long time. I especially like the fact that it uses AICS- pattern magazines. It's not a PRS rifle but it will serve you well for anything you need to do in the real world. The fit and finish is very good and i personally think it's a handsome little rifle. Not much I can complain about. You could definitely do a LOT worse!!! LOL!!!
