The rifle arrived...
The rifle arrived packed in the factory packaging in a plastic sleeve, but about half the barrel was covered in red, powdery rust. I wiped it down with an oily rag and it seems to have cleaned off without any other apparent damage. Will run a patch through the bore and see if the bore is rusty.

There's always a...
There's always a drawback for the price...But apparently it's just with this gun.I have purchased many Ruger weapons at different prices & none have arrived to me with low quality like this.I'm very disappointed. The only complaint i have at this time( i haven't got to fire the weapon yet)is that the safety assembly edges are dinged and have the black coating rubbed off on the tang safety only,the rest of the weapon looks ok.

I just received my...
I just received my ruger american 308 yesterday and went to shoot it today. Buds shipped it super fast for a great price. The rifle shoots great with a 3x9x42 scope. After I got it sighted in I was shooting 2moa at 100 yards with federal premium 150 grain 308 ammo and I am not the most experienced shooter. I am very happy with this purchase and the digital camo is a awesome touch.
