The Ruger American Rimfire American Farmer is a .17 HMR bolt-action rifle configured with an engraved American Farmer wood stock, a satin blued alloy steel receiver and a cold hammer-forged 22-inch barrel. Its Power Bedding integral bedding block system securely locates the receiver while free-floating the barrel to support consistent accuracy. The Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger allows the pull weight to be set between 3 and 5 pounds. A tang-mounted manual safety is easy to access, while the 60-degree bolt provides generous scope clearance. Brass bead front and adjustable rear sights support immediate use, and the receiver includes an integral 3/8-inch rimfire scope base plus drilling and tapping for Weaver #12 bases.
