The Ruger American Rimfire Compact is a lightweight .22 LR bolt-action rifle designed for convenient handling and dependable accuracy. Its 18-inch satin-blued, threaded barrel pairs with a black composite stock configured for a compact 12.5-inch length of pull. Fiber optic sights and an adjustable rear sight provide a clear aiming reference, while the receiver is ready for scope installation. The rifle includes a flush-mounted 10-round BX-1 rotary magazine and accepts other Ruger 10/22 magazines. Ruger's Power Bedding integral bedding block system helps stabilize the action and free-float the barrel, and the Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger allows pull weight adjustment from 3 to 5 pounds.

The gun shoots very well. The stock combs the change out could be fitter better. I had to remove the rear sight to install a scope. It fits the younger shooters much better than the full sized guns. Overall, this is a good value.
