The Ruger American Rimfire Long-Range Target is a bolt-action .22 LR rifle built for consistent accuracy and practical long-range setup. It features a two-tone target stock with an adjustable comb, adjustable length of pull, a soft rubber buttpad, QD attachment points, and flush-mounted lower M-LOK hardware. Under the hood, the patented Power Bedding integral bedding block system positively locates the receiver and free-floats the barrel for accuracy. A threaded 22-inch 0.860-inch bull barrel with a factory-installed thread protector supports easy mounting of a .22 rimfire suppressor or muzzle device.

This seems like the perfect time to review this rifle since I just got home from the rifle range and sighting in for the upcoming 200 yard silhouette match on Thursday. More people show an interest in this gun and ask me about it than any other I can remember, whether it's an indoor paper target match or one of the outdoor steel matches at the local clubs. Very solidly built, super accurate, basically ready to compete right out of the box. The action mates into steel blocks in the stock so it's almost like a chassis rifle. There's really not much left to do as far as bedding. Just find the ammo that your barrel likes, mount up a good scope and enjoy shooting it. I've had mine a couple of months and wanted to wait until it had gotten some miles on it before I said how it's doing. And I couldn't be happier. After about fifteen hundred rounds of various standard velocity ammo, I love it more all the time and can't find one negative thing to complain about except that Ruger doesn't build enough of them for everyone who wants one to be able to get one.
