The Ruger American Rimfire Target rifle combines a precision-oriented bolt-action design with practical rimfire versatility. Its cold hammer-forged, 18-inch barrel is threaded 1/2x28 and uses precise rifling for consistent accuracy and easy maintenance. Ruger’s Power Bedding integral bedding block system positively locates the receiver while free-floating the barrel. The black laminate thumbhole stock provides a stable, comfortable shooting platform and includes an adjustable length of pull. A Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger, tang-mounted manual safety, integral 3/8-inch rimfire scope base, and detachable 10-round 10/22 BX-1 rotary magazine complete the configuration.

Better than I expected!!! The color is beautiful. Love the style and thumb hole stock. It's a blast to shoot and so accurate. Fun all day plinker! Bolt is smooth. Definitely recommend ordering at least an extra 3pk of magazines and tons of ammo!

This is the most...
This is the most accurate .22 LR that I own. I replaced the stock with a Boyd's stock and I pillar bedded it, free floating the barrel. The medium heavy barrel takes a really long time to heat up. I love the large bolt knob. I took the scope mount off and used BKL Technologies 30mm scope rings right on the receiver's grooves. I put a TAC Vector Optics Marksman 10x44 scope on it and have been able to hit targets out to 233 yards (according to the laser range finder). This thing is an absolute blast to shoot. I love it. And, best part, it uses Ruger 10-22 magazines. Great rifle. Thanks, BudsGunShop!

Bolt was very difficult to close. Sent back to Ruger to repair. Ruger returned gun in one week. Bolt is still very stiff but at least it will close.
