A: Keith, I do not see a Left Hand version listed on Ruger's website but, I would confirm this with their Customer Service at Telephone: 336-949-5200 (Monday through Friday 8:00am - 6:00pm ET)

A: Unfortunately, Ruger is not showing that they make a left hand model. I have been watching for one myself, in any caliber, and have not heard anything about them having it or any plans to make them in the near future.

A: Chris, yes Sir it is. Daniel's actual question was misconstrued by himself. He actually took a gander at what he mistakenly referenced as Rate of Twist (instead of Barrel Thread pitch) as evidenced by (5/8x24 12x28 ?) in his actual question. The barrel twist rate is indeed 1:8" RH twist rate as you state. Cheers and stay safe!

A: Both are great rifles, I'd lean heavier towards the Ruger. The Ruger is MUCH more rifle, out-of-the-box. The chassis is MUCH nicer, the buttstock is built for the shooter, whereas the Savage needs heavy (and pricey) modifications to get there. The trigger on both is excellent, but I think the Ruger is a hair better. A: I have the Ruger and I dont see where the savage could be better

A: Joseph, I have been a Savage owner of many Rifles and may be biased but, Savage has been well known for out of the box quality build and highly accurate even with some of the budget models. I do own a couple of Rugers but with my same hand loads through both, my Savage consistently give me .25 MOA better accuracy. Same shooter, same ammunition, different Rifles. Cheers and stay safe!
