Product Overview
The Ruger Precision Rifle is a purpose-built long-range bolt-action rifle chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. Its cold hammer-forged chrome-moly steel barrel features a 1:8 twist and 5R rifling for consistent precision performance. The in-line recoil path directs recoil from the rear of the receiver into the stock, while the Ruger Precision Rifle Hybrid Muzzle Brake helps manage muzzle rise. A 15-inch free-float aluminum handguard provides M-LOK attachment slots on all four sides and maintains clearance for large long-range optics. The Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger offers an externally adjustable pull from 2.25 to 5 pounds. Its folding MSR stock includes adjustable length of pull and comb height, QD sling attachment points, a bottom Picatinny rail, and a soft rubber recoil pad. The multi-magazine interface accepts AICS and M110, SR-25, DPMS, and Magpul-style magazines. The rifle includes two 10-round Magpul PMAG magazines.

I have had this Ruger Precision 6.5mm Creedmoor for about a year now with 250 rounds shot through it and it has functioned flawlessly. This is without a doubt the best budget precision rifle on the market.

After months of...
After months of research and reading all of the reviews I could find I decided to go with the 6.5 Creedmoor and the Ruger Precision Rifle for some long-range target shooting. Making that decision was the hard part. Deciding where to buy it was the easy part. I buy all my guns from Buds online. There prices are competitive, especially considering the fast free shipping. Their customer service is great, and checkout could not be any easier. After quickly receiving my Ruger Precision Rifle, I installed a decent scope on it and ran a couple of cleaning patches through it. I shot a few rounds of the Hornady 140 gr. ELD Match factory ammo through it to sight it in. Then I shot this 5-round group with it. Now I certainly do not proclaim to be no expert. I'm an old disabled Veterian. I am legally blind in my right "scope eye" so I use my left eye to see. I was using my left eye and shooting right-handed off a wobbly card table. With all things considered I could not be more pleased with how sweet this gun shoots. I know that this RPR can shoot even better if I was sandbagging it off a solid bench rest with some good hand loads it can only get better (if I do my part). I will say that this is a heavy gun which is not a bad thing if you are looking for accuracy. For long-distance shooting you will generally find that most people preferer a solid, heaver platform. Overall, I am very pleased with the whole buying process from Buds online and the Ruger Precision Rifle is definitely a rifle that I would highly recommend it to anyone who is on the fence about buying this gun. You will be hard pressed to find anything more accurate for the money. The picture attached is my very first 5 shot group at shot at 100 yards out of my first box of shells.

If you're looking for a long range bolt action rifle, the Ruger Precision 6.5 Creedmoor is the rifle for you. All this thing needs is a high power scope, and that's it. Trigger is great. The folding stock works absolutely flawless and it comes with a Magpul 7.62x51 mag (.308 mag).
