I bought this rifle...
I bought this rifle because a friend had one that I had the chance to shoot.Have not yet been out to range, but if this piece will drive tacks like my friends, it will be a fun gun, and cheap to feed.

I found this...
I found this distributor exclusive in OD Green to have very good shooting characteristics (CCI standard velocity) and the same quality as the regular Ruger catalog black finished ones do, and I also reviewed the Davidsons Exclusive Ruger 8406 model (Buds item 411558917) in Cerakote Barrett Brown on its page. \r \r In those comments I forgot to mention that when you pick up one of these guns and you look it over before you transfer it, you may find things like loose action/chassis screws or the handguard may be leaning to one side of the barrel. Do not despair unnecessarily! If the handguard screws are checked, you'll likely find that one or both may not be tightened. If that is the case, loosen both of them and then loosen and remove the handguard carefully, then put it back on centered and reinstall both screws and tighten them in increments using an adjustable torque screwdriver. The manual does not specify a torque value for the handguard screws, but it does for the action screws, and those should be torqued to 35 inch pounds. I strongly recommend having a torque adjustable screwdriver for ALL of your gun reassembly needs as they help prevent damage to wood stocks and solve many accuracy issues and they are indispensible in proper scope mounting. To avoid inconsistent performance from your rifle, tightening things consistently is a good thing! \r \r The only other problem I have seen, and it was only on one rifle (I have several of these), was an extractor cut in a barrel that did not align with the extractor on the bolt. That one we sent back and it was replaced. \r \r I do wonder at times who is doing the QC inspections before these rifles leave the factory in Mayodan, but we still only sent one back and the rest were all okay OOB, and the one with the loose screws was easily adjusted and went home with me.
