Product Overview
The Ruger SFAR is a lightweight semi-automatic .308 Win rifle built around 7075-T6 aluminum upper and lower receivers. Its cold hammer-forged 16-inch barrel uses a 1:10 twist and a 5/8x24 threaded muzzle, while the mid-length direct-impingement gas system supports smooth, familiar AR-style operation. A 15-inch Lite free-float handguard provides a full-length Picatinny rail for mounting optics and accessories. The rifle is equipped with a Ruger Elite 452 trigger, Magpul MOE grip, Magpul MOE SL stock, dust cover, and brass deflector.

Got the gun in decent time. I knew it was supposed to be light but dang it was really nice and light. Ruger really outdone their self on this one. I love it.

This is by far one of...
This is by far one of the worst rifles I have ever had to work with and the fact it is about 1K makes it even worse. I tried really hard to like this gun because of my love for Ruger, but they dropped the ball on this one. From the very get go every time I have taken it to the range it has failed to load/eject and I've followed their recommended gas settings. The gun its self is smooth and accurate but reliability is a zero for me. I tried to swap out the bcg in an attempt to alleviate the issue problem is that Ruger made this BCG special in the sense that only theirs will work no after market and they charge 1000 for a replacement bcg. Needless to say there are far better options save yourself from this headache.
