The Sako TRG-42 is a purpose-built long-range precision rifle chambered in .338 Lapua. Its cold hammer-forged steel-alloy action, three-lug bolt, and 60-degree bolt lift provide a strong, smooth, and fast-operating platform for precision shooting. An integral 17 millimeter scope rail with recoil-stop slots supports secure optic mounting, while the detachable five-round magazine provides reliable centerline feeding. The green synthetic stock is durable and suited to demanding field, tactical, and competition use. The rifle measures 47.25 inches in overall length without the muzzle brake and weighs approximately 11.75 pounds.

Purchased rifle, installed Nightforce Benchrest Scope. \\r\ Fired 1-shot, looked at the ejected brass, took measurements for dies. \\r\ Traded firearm back to Bud's.\\r\ Purchased a Savage 110 FCP and totally satisfied.\\r\ To me, SAKO had headspace issues, was within factory specs, but not tight enough.\\r\ Did not want to re-chamber barrel, or replace barrel. SAKO stated, it is within specifications.
