This rifle is typical Mauser quality with a nice trigger, smooth bolt and surprisingly good accuracy (right around MOA or slightly under at 100 yards depending on the load). Great firearm for the price!! Just a good, solid performer. Can't wait to take it out for a walk during hunting season. So far, every deer I've ever shot with my military surplus Mausers has been DRT. if it performs as good as I expect it will give me more of the same. It's a shame that the 8mm Mauser cartridge isn't more popular in the U.S. It's a GREAT all-around performer!!
