Its Ergo Max polymer stock features a soft-touch coating and soft rubber recoil pad for a secure, comfortable hold in the field. Sauer's Dura Safe system places direct firing pin control in an ergonomic bolt-sleeve lever, while the integral detent helps prevent unintended disengagement and allows the bolt to be opened with the safety engaged. A tension-free Heat Lock barrel connection, Ever Rest bedding system, and robust locking lugs support consistent accuracy. The rifle also features a smooth bolt throw, quiet cycling, and a crisp approximately 2-pound trigger. Scope installation is simplified by compatibility with Remington 700 long-action scope bases.
