Another Savage rifle...
Another Savage rifle that is great but questionable in quality control.\\r\ \\r\ The good: \\r\ I had 1 MOA accuracy with cheap factory ammo out of the box. I topped this rifle with a quality Vortex 5-25 FFP Strike Eagle. The bolt on the rifle was rough but will started to break in with every shot that I took. The trigger is like glass! One of the best factory triggers I have felt. The recoil from of 300 WinMag is mild out of this heavy beast of a rifle. The finish on the receiver is an amazing burnt bronze, it is much nicer in person than these pictures.\\r\ \\r\ The bad: \\r\ Within 70 rounds I started to have issues, the top scope rail on the rifle become loose! Not my scope or rings. This was very upsetting but not surprising because I have heard the same thing on internet forms about this rifle. Savage needs to improve their thread locker at their factory. I also started to have RUST on the screws holding the front rails to the rifle. My rifle has never seen rain or any water so this was a huge disappointment for me. The weight of this rifle is a pro and con as well. Also the stock cheek riser is far to low in its maximum elevation with this rifle it is a nice stock but does not work perfectly with this rifle die to it having a very high scope rail. The receiver is great quality but far to short in the hand guard area. I'm 5'11 and it is still too short for me and many others have to same complaint.

This is a great long...
This is a great long range rifle. The quality and finish is top notch, the bolt action is smooth and the accuracy out of the box is excellent. The AccuTrigger and Magpul adjustable stock are the perfect options for this rifle. The shipping to my FFL was fast and on time. Would definitely recommend both the Rifle and the service from Buds Gun shop.

Transaction was very...
Transaction was very easy and shipping was fast. The only bad thing was the riffle had some finish worn off on one of the edges of the stock probably due to the rifle moving around in the box during shipping. I didn't notice this issue until I got the rifle home. This is not Buds fault but probably more the manufacturers fault, needs to be packed more carefully. Other than that small issue the rifle shoots great and is very accurate out of the box.
