I purchased this rifle...
I purchased this rifle after reading the reviews here on Bud's site, as well as many articles on the excellent quality of Savage Arms. My experience has been that the rifle has difficulty feeding rounds into the chamber, the bolt must be "jiggled" to fully seat the cartridge. This would slow down a second shot if necessary. I also couldn't get a decent group. I used 3 different brands, 2 bullet weights as well as 2 different major brand scopes of known accuracy. For these reasons, I am trading this rifle and cannot recommend this product

I did an enormous...
I did an enormous amount of research on which rifle I was going to buy before I finally decided on the Savage Weather Warrior. I compared the Ruger American, Remington 700, Tikka T3, and the the Browning A-Bolt. The deciding factors that helped me make my decision were price, accuracy, reliability and best overall value. All of the rifles I mentioned are excellent but none gave me all the features that the savage offer's from factory at the price point I paid. i.e. Accustock, Accutrigger, Stainless Finish and finally a left hand bolt. I have already broke the rifle in at the range and was able to shoot sub quarter inch groups at 100 yards and half inch groups at 200 yards. The trigger is very smooth with a clean break, I could not be happier with the results.
