Although the gun is clearly a bolt action system, the chassis has a buffer tube to allow for the attachment of an AR-style stock. The tube is mounted on a double locking hinge. There are no "qualifying" features...in other words you can have any feature on a bolt action (or pump action) in NYS; pistol grips, bayonets, flash hiders, adjustable stocks etc. are fine on a bolt action. The evil features only apply to semi autos with detachable mags (rifles and shotguns).
