I bought this rifle to...
I bought this rifle to replace a Mossberg Patriot in the same caliber which I sold because I could not get it to shoot as accurately as the cartridge is capable of. I have done limited testing of some hand loads and I have already gotten better results with the Savage 110 than I did with the Mossberg. This isn't meant as a knock against the Mossberg; it was a nice rifle, but we just never seemed to click. My fellow gun cranks may know what I mean. I like the adjustable stock on the Savage, as I need a longer pull length being 6 feet, 2 inches tall. I also have a Savage Axis and it's a tack driver in .243 Winchester. Both rifles have the accutrigger, which is very sweet. Bud's service was excellent, as always.
