Great gun for the...
Great gun for the money. Shoots well out to 300 yards, have not tested it beyond that yet. Does not like inexpensive stuff like Monarch and surplus ammo, but shoots any decent hunting round (think $15 /box). All in all, good purchase at a fair price. Bud's helpful and easy as always.

First a word about...
First a word about Buds - great folks to work with. The Savage Axis II: PROS - good size, not too heavy, comfortable to shoot, nice gun at a reasonable price. CONS - have to work some to get bolt in, Weaver scope came slightly off the front rail, which took time to realize and had to take everything off and reattach to sight in. It seems to be firmly attached, in the correct place and sighted in. We'll see. Anymore trouble and I will consider switching to P rail.
