For a cheap firearm,...
For a cheap firearm, it is decent. The trigger is horrible. You need to either replace the spring or buy an aftermarket trigger. You are probably better off buying an Axis II or other model bc of the trigger. The stock is cheap plastic, but adequate for a youth firearm. It worked for my kids after a trigger and scope change. The scope is not good and will probably need to be changed if you are willing to let your kids take middle range shots. Bc of this, you may want to not get a scoped model. I paid $300 when I purchased mine and it came with a coupon for a free adult stock. The gun is worth that with the knowledge that you will have to do something with the trigger and scope. If I had it to do over, I would've probably purchased a different model, but I am not really disappointed in the purchase.

I have had this little...
I have had this little rifle for about a year now, and it's everything I'd hoped it would be. Accuracy is about 2-3" size groups @100yds from a bipod, using 62g off the shelf loads. For this rifle, I found the 62g bullets to be a little more accurate than the standard 55g bullets. This is good enough for training purposes for the young men, boys and women who have used it. The youth stock is great for young and small stature shooters......and is comfortable for myself, too! (I'm 5'9"). The scope is good enough, but I replaced it with a better scope. Recoil is minimal with the 5.56x45, or .223 cartridge. I am satisfied with this purchase, and would recommend it for training new shooters.
