I have a Savage 10...
I have a Savage 10 FCP-K in .223 Remington. It is by far the most accurate, easiest shooting rifle I have ever owned. I wanted the same rifle in 22-250 Remington because it's easy to reload (both rifles use .224 dia bullets), and I can squeeze more fps (and energy) from the same weight bullet than out of my .223. I am a varmint and paper shooter primarily. The 10 FCP-K doesn't come in 22-250, so the closest thing I could get to it was the model 12 FCV. The main differences between the 12FCV and the 10 FCP-K are a lack of muzzle brake on the 12FCV, and the FCP-K is a 9 twist while the FCV is a 12 twist. Same accu-trigger, same accu-stock. Oh, the bolt on the FCV is chrome while the bolt on the FCP is black. Same fluting on the barrel, same finish. I did a "make an offer" on this rifle. Got a good price, not too far from what was asked, but still, less. Buds was easy to deal with and I liked the immediate feedback I got when I was going through my tries on the "make an offer" process. The rifle was shipped to my preferred dealer near my home. Easy. Now, the rifle: I put a Vortex Viper 4-16 x 44 second focal plane with Dead Hold reticle on top. Mounted with DeadNutz (DNZ) Game Reaper one piece mount model 34200 (med height). Same mount on my tried and tested FCP-K, rock solid. So far, I've put 50 rounds down the pipe with the following factory ammunition (100 yards, 5-round groups, off a rest and bags): Federal Power-Shok 55gr PSP Remington Express Rifle 55gr PSP Federal Premium Vital-Shok 55gr Nosler ballistic tips Best grouping was with the premium Nosler tipped rounds at about 0.75". I'll be able to reduce this even further as I determine the best off the lands and powder combo for handloads I'll develop for the rifle. But out of the box, heck yeah it's accurate. Without the muzzle brake, it kicks more than the FCP-K, but totally manageable and I can still see the impact on the target. A pleasure to shoot. I have adjusted the trigger (very easy to do, just follow instructions) down to 28oz. Breaks like glass, no creep. I really like the accutrigger. I will be handloading for this rifle and I fully expect it to shoot one ragged hole at 100 yards, just like my FCP-K does. With my FCP-K, I can shoot less than 0.25" groups at 100 yards if I do my part. That's with 28gr W748, Nosler Varmageddon FBHP 40gr, and CCI small rifle magnum primers. OAL (to ogive) 1.924". Overall I am very excited about the rifle. I am also pleased with my experience with Buds. I highly recommend both the rifle and Buds. Good luck shooting and safe reloading!

got my gun last week quick and fast from buds. went out to range 2 shots to sight in then shooting 1" 3 shot groups and a little windy. this guns all I was hopping for!

This is an awesome...
This is an awesome rifle for the price. I have a Nikon buckmaster 6-18 that's currently on it and am shooting 5/8" groups at 100 yards (5 shot groups) this is with the cheapest remington factory ammo. This is def a bench/varmint rifle (Mine weighs in at just over13 lbs with optics and bi-pod. The only bad thing about this rifle is that the first shot has a bad flyer / almost 2 inches away from the rest of the grouping. I have shot approx 10 groups off a bench and all with the same results I would definitely purchase this rifle again, especially for the price
