Description
Product Overview
The Savage Arms Model 25 Lightweight Varminter-T is a .22 Hornet bolt-action rifle designed for precise varmint shooting and field use. Its 24-inch medium-contour carbon steel barrel is sleeved for added rigidity and finished in satin blue. Triple pillar bedding supports consistent accuracy, while the laminate thumbhole stock provides a stable, comfortable shooting position. A three-lug bolt with a 60-degree lift cycles smoothly and leaves room for low-mounted large-diameter optics. The rifle also includes Weaver-style scope bases, Savage’s adjustable AccuTrigger, and a detachable four-round box magazine.
Key Features
- The .22 Hornet chambering offers a flat-shooting option for varmint and small-game applications.
- The 24-inch sleeved medium-contour barrel adds rigidity while maintaining a balanced rifle profile.
- Triple pillar bedding helps promote consistent action and stock alignment.
- The adjustable AccuTrigger supports a pull weight from 2.5 to 3.25 pounds.
- The three-lug bolt uses a 60-degree lift for smooth operation and low scope clearance.
- The laminate thumbhole stock provides a stable, ergonomic grip from the bench or field.
The Savage Model 25 Lightweight Varminter-T combines a precise .22 Hornet action, varmint-focused barrel, and practical optic mounting in a balanced rifle package.

Nothing like bedding...
Nothing like bedding and tighting it up should make this one SubMOA as I have done another. I had one in .223 and was a 200 meter tack driver.

I put a Leupold scope...
I put a Leupold scope and rings on it and it would not site in elevation wise. I now have to take it to a gunsmith and pay to have it fixed so it will hopefully shot properly, and now I see I paid $552 for it in August 2014 and now it's $474 on 12/12/2014.
