Excellent entry level...
Excellent entry level gun. I love Remington's, but the Remington 770 can't touch this gun when it comes to smooth bolt action. Great gun at a great price. My eleven year old loves it and can't wait until deer season.

Great gun for the price offered by Buds. Have shot 25-30 rounds and not a problems yet. Was look for new rifle to hunt with and intersted in this caliber. Very good product without tons of cash. Scope is actually impressive for Bushnell. A+++++ Buds service excellant as usual.

Rifle great, typical...
Rifle great, typical Savage Arms product. The trigger is fairly heavy,however who ever installed the scope needs to find a new job, The aft ring lock down lug on the right (where it attaches to the rifle)was installed upside down and to compensate, the left hex screw was tightened down to the point of being stripped. Who ever boresighted this gun should have noticed this. It took myself and a range offical almost 60 rounds of ammo before these proplems were discovered. It was shoot, adjust, check the scope was secure and do it all over again. Almost $90 dollars for ammo $22.00 for a cheap set of rings, $20.00 for range fees. After all that, I dont trust that I could hit anything smaller than a car. I don't know who is responsibile but I would sure like some of that money back.
