My FFL had called me...
My FFL had called me to pick up my new rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor and that is where the excitement ended. I opened the box and the first thing that I noticed was the sling swivels were crooked and then I figured I had better look it over good and I am glad that I did. I opened the bolt and took a flashlight to look in the chamber and saw a large ping mark on the lip of the chamber and looked into the chamber and saw several horizontal gouging marks and seem to be very rough. I also thought that the stock was a cheap and flimsy plastic that you could wiggle forend back and forth with your hand. The final thought was Savage needs to work on there quality controls. Last thing was that I know that the accu trigger is adjustable but this one was probably #8 pounds out of the box.

This is my fourth Savage Rifle and as usual you get a lot of value for the dollar spent. Fit and finish is that of a much more expensive rifle maker. Follow the Savage recommended barrel break in procedure and you will own one very accurate rifle when complete. Very satisfied with this rifle.
