After buying this I...
After buying this I got the itch for another gun. What a mistake. I sold this rifle, and instantly regretted it. I ended up getting it back and putting a custom stock on it. I'll be passing this down to my son. It shoots well, the trigger is beautiful, and is very accurate. I would prefer a larger objective on the scope, but I can always upgrade in the future. It shoots really well, and the bolt is like butter.

Awesome rifle, A real...
Awesome rifle, A real tack driver right out of the box. A little disappointed that the Factory stock only takes the plastic mags. I wan to use the metal floor plate and insert 10 round mags. Not going to happen with this stock. I will need to put this in an accistock and add a metal floor plate and magazine. I Feel a little cheated that Savage saddled me with a low quality Axis stick in exchange for the Nikon scope... Thats a Savage problem, Not a Buds problem..

This is a great...
This is a great package rifle, my third Savage. I purchased an Axis .308 a few month back for $330 then added a Nikon BDC scope for $150 then rings and scope bases for another $50, the rifle shoots fine......but I realized that I just put $530 into it...WOW. For that much money you can buy the stainless Savage 16 with accutrigger and Nikon scope!! Do the math, you will not find a better deal, skip the Axis and buy this package.
