This is the best...
This is the best shooting and smoothest Sig rifle I have.... and I have a few. The trigger is a match trigger and I feel very lucky to have gotten this rifle when I did... Christmas time. It is light, smooth, and easy to shoot and keeps 1.0 in groups. Even with junk ammo, it's shooting 1.00-1.25 moa. Very happy with this rifle.

After my EAS from the Marine Corps I made a vow to never purchase an AR-15 rifle. The gas system is a horrible design flaw in my opinion, definitely not suited for infantry use. Constant weapon maintenance will ensure the rifle will run but you have to stay on top of maintenance or you will be in a world of hurt. Then the ACR, SCAR and M416 were produced with a piston gas system that would ensure these rifle would function in the most adverse conditions. That I like but the price for these weapons, I do not. Then I saw this beauty in the BudsGunShop online store. Sig Sauers 516 with a piston gas system and a price that got me to buy this outstanding rifle. I have feed this baby 500 rounds since my purchase and I am very impressed with the performance. This is a competition rifle that shoots point of aim point of impact right out of the box. I didn't have to adjust the sights surprisingly and it never had a problem with the cycling of ammo after 200 rounds. Cleaning the piston is easy and less time consuming that a direct gas impingement system. If you own a traditional AR platform and are looking for something new to try, I highly recommend this rifle. This is a huge improvement over the standard AR profile and yet a simple one.
