A: Les, as others have mentioned since you're a correctional officer you should be able to purchase this but Illinois's gun laws can be confusing. Out of all the states believe Illinois tries making it so confusing that people aren't sure if it's legal and give up trying but from what I'm reading you should be able to purchase this.
