Product Overview
The Smith & Wesson M&P15 Sport II is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO and designed around the widely supported AR-15 platform. Its 16-inch Armornite-finished barrel provides corrosion resistance, while the 7075 T6 aluminum upper and lower receivers feature a durable hardcoat anodized finish. A forward assist, dust cover, chromed bolt carrier group components, and six-position telescoping stock support dependable operation and a comfortable fit. The full Picatinny upper receiver rail accommodates a variety of optics and accessories. Included Magpul MBUS folding rear sights and an adjustable A2 post front sight provide a practical factory sighting setup, and one 10-round detachable magazine is included.

On the range, the...
On the range, the M&P15T performed very well. Using the Magpul MBUS sights and a rest, the rifle's accuracy was very good. Additionally, the gun experienced no malfunctions. I ran a number of different loads through the gun, including a variety of 55-grain ball rounds. All of the loads performed very well, and the rifle seemed to shoot everything accurately. I stuck to the standard sights. However, with a good scope, I expect I would have shot even tighter groups. Using duty ammunition and standard aperture sights, 2-inch groups are certainly good enough for most purposes.
