A: These two rifles are so close in feature and function that they are nearly identical. Being an AR guy, the decision for me would be the advantage of the "Mid-Length" Gas System of the Spikes. It will yield lower receiver pressures (softer shooting) and will handle a wider range of cartridge pressures with less overall wear to the rifle. Accuracy, function, durability in my opinion are equal. The mid length gas system is a natural progression/advantage over the carbine length system of the LE6920.

A: No it's mil-spec which is 4150 CMV steel.

A: The Spike feels more solid to me over the Bushmaster. I think it's more dead-on too/

A: The Bushmaster has a chromed barrel and chamber which should make it a bit more durable but probably not as accurate. It will take more abuse before it quits in harsh conditions.
