The Stag Arms Stag 9 Tactical is a 9mm semi-automatic rifle built around a reliable blowback operating system. I have wanted a 9mm...
I have wanted a 9mm PCC for several years now and I'm glad I went with the Stag 9 Tactical over some of the less expensive options out there, as well as some of the more expensive options. A couple years ago, I almost went with a Zenith MP5 but came to the conclusion that they were too rich for my blood. The entry price and overall cost of ownership turned me off. So I started looking at all the AR9s that take Glock mags. The options and general feedback left my head spinning, so I decided against those. The CZ Scorpion was another option but I didn't want to have to deal with the possibility of mag issues. The final options for me were the Colt 6951 or the Stag 9. I read multiple people stating their barrels came lose on their Colts and with the almost $200 price difference, that made me choose the Stag. The Stag has a chrome lined barrel, it has a nice rail, stock, and pistol grip. Overall, the specs are great! My sample of one was built well. Everything is tight and straight. I ran about 200 rounds through it. It was accurate and reliable. Russian steel cased ammo did have some issues getting stuck in the mag (I read about this issue prior to making the purchase, so I wasn't surprised). Brass cased ammo was perfect. My only "con" is that the design lends itself to getting really dirty, fast! I'm happy with this purchase and I recommend it.
