The Steyr Scout 26.046.3E is a compact, lightweight bolt-action rifle built for versatility, durability, accuracy, and reliability. Developed with input from Marine Corps Lt. Col. Jeff Cooper, it features a 19 in cold hammer-forged fluted barrel and an integrated bipod leg design with a UIT rail for mounting accessories. The synthetic green stock is paired with a black metal finish and a practical sighting setup with a ghost ring rear and a scope rail for quick optic mounting.

This is an outstanding...
This is an outstanding rifle. It is incredibly well balanced and has some pretty innovative features considering the design is 25+ years old. It has a light, smooth bolt, and a very crisp trigger. The integral bipod (although not terribly rugged) works well at the range and give the user an added shooting dynamic without using any additional equipment. The 2 stage magazine works very well, and the second magazine storage in the stock is just cool. I like the adjustable length of pull as well as the 3 position safety system (which is very intuitive). Top that off with the fact that it has a threaded barrel if you would like to add a muzzle device and back up, pop up sights built into the gun...This rifle has it all. While it may be on the higher end of the price range for a scout style rifle, the quality is immediately apparent. You get what you pay for.
