Awesome firearm. The integrated optic (1.5x) is a great optic for quick target acquisition. If you want to put extras on your AUG, there are a few rails to put things on. Plus if you really want to deck your rifle out, Corvus Defensio sells a lot of quality aftermarket parts, like rails, charging handles, etc The rifle is extremely easy to strip and reassemble, and the short stroke gas piston barely makes the gun dirty at all. As many other note, the safety has sharp edges, and will need filed down. That took about 2 minutes to do and any metal file will do. The trigger pull is around 10 lbs, but unless you're trying to do precision shooting, the weight is negligible. I also really like the integrated foregrip on the rifle. It's the perfect size, and if you want to shoot on a rest, the grip will fold up by simply pulling down on the grip and folding it.The only thing I remotely dislike about the firearm is the mag release. It's behind the mag, but with a bit of practice it's nothing to shake your head at. The AUG is expensive, but if you're looking for a bullpup with a gas piston system, you can't go wrong with this rifle. If you're looking at the Tavor, here are the main differences. The Tavor has a long stroke gas piston vs the AUG's short stroke. The Tavor's mag release is where the standard AR-15s is, vs the AUG's being behind the mag. Past that they're very similar rifles. If you get the AUG with no integrated optic, it's the same price as the Tavor as well. The only difference there is that the railed AUG does not come with iron sights, where the Tavor does. Last note, the rifle is extremely compact, and while it's heavy, it's evenly centered and is comfortable to hold while shouldered. Buds did a great job with shipping. It took three days from the the time I ordered it to be delivered. I will definitely order from Buds again, as their prices can't be beat and they're shipping is way faster than I would've expected.
