Always wanted this...
Always wanted this rifle. Now that I've shot it I know why. 45-70 is a favorite cartridge, and the weight 10 pounds makes shooting very fun. The wood is very nice.

Great shooting rifle....
Great shooting rifle. Less bulky than the sharps but still has a great history behind it. I added a marbles tang sight on mine. This thing will punch 2" groups at 200 yards. I took a whitetail deer with it at 165 yards. Action is super smooth. Trigger is about 2 lbs. So if you are worried about not having a double trigger, don't be. Doesn't take much to touch it off. So if you are hunting with it, best to keep the finger away from the trigger until you are solid on your aim point. One of my favorite guns to shoot! This thing turns some heads when it bellows at the range.
