The Taylor's & Company 1886 Ridge Runner Takedown is a compact .45-70 Govt. lever-action rifle built for convenient transport and practical field use. It features an 18.5-inch half-octagon and round barrel with a matte blue finish, a soft-touch rubber overmolded wood stock, and a wide D-shaped lever. A Skinner peep rear sight and fiber optic front sight provide a fast, intuitive sight picture, while the installed Weaver rail supports the addition of a compatible optic. The threaded muzzle is fitted with a muzzle brake and includes a threaded cap for use when the brake is removed. Sling swivels are included for convenient carry.

Excellent rifle. The...
Excellent rifle. The fit/finish is superb. Sights were dead on. I like it much better than the Marlin's I looked at that looked like the stocks were made in a high school shop class. Recoil is a little heavy without the brake but not bad with it. Should be good woods gun. Was hard to break down initially as it is nice and tight joint but its not bad after a couple of times. Once again Buds had the best price and shipped fast.
