Much better quality...
Much better quality than expected. A gun is only as good as it shoots, but the quality has me very optimistic. Haven't had the chance to go to the range yet, but if it shoots half as good as it feels, I'll be happy. You may be able to find these compasses cheaper elsewhere at different times of the year, but at buds price, to get it when you want it, it's totally worth it.

OK, I like this gun...
OK, I like this gun for a couple of reasons. The threaded bbl, the feel of the gun, the long enough pull, overall very good quality. Feels solid. The adjustable trigger is sort of a joke at this point since it comes already set as low as it will go, and that in my case runs about 5 1/2 - 6 lbs.......? A bit on the hard side, but a fix is readily available, its safe and easy. So no big deal. Even after the first gun I received had an issue and had to be returned to Buds, I like the gun, this will happen in the manufacturing world in spite of everything, so I get that. It shouldn't, but it does. I got a replacement gun and its fine. There was a rebate of $79 at the time I bought this rifle, so thats good too. This gun comes with weaver style bases already installed, good! I have a hard time imagining getting a better rifle for $300, so I'm good with it and it fits me well, feels solid and works great. Accuracy is perfect for what I need, 1" or less up to about 2" at 100 yds, depending upon weather and wind, good for my purposes for sure. Magazine works fine, its polymer (a fancy word for plastic) but it does its job and doesn't fall out or fail to lock in. Overall I give this gun about a B+ to A- rating, sure there are better guns out there for twice the price, but will they work twice as well? Not likely. Buds helped me out with the return of the first gun so that process worked out fine too. Overall I'd buy this gun again, I think most folks would too.

Picked up this rifle...
Picked up this rifle due to the low cost with rebate and to begin reloading 223 for precision. After about 100 rounds, both range and hand loads, I'm able to shoot less than 1 MOA at 100yds. The scope that I chose was a very low cost 4-16X40mm from online retailer. Works great, has impressive features and shoots as TCA says it will with good ammo or hand loads. will be adding a muzzle brake and eventually a suppressor. If you are looking for a low price option for this caliber in a bolt gun, TCA makes a great rifle.
