Best gun money can buy...
Best gun money can buy without going custom and paying thousands at a gun shop. This is my second review because I just don't think that I emphasized how much I love this gun. I read tons of articles and forums of how well these guns are. I read how great the accuracy is and how smooth the trigger is. How smooth the action is. I "was" an American man (Remington). Until I picked up this beauty from Budsgunshop.com. This review is not to knock Remington it is for those that are questioning whether Tikka is as good as Remington. Remington makes some very fine rifles but just cost a little more than the average American can afford. With a Tikka you still get a match grade barrel, very smooth action, very crisp trigger, and a beautiful stock. I would compare the quality of the Tikka to a Remington CDL just that the Remy cost about $200+ more. The differences from the two is that the Tikka's trigger and action is much better. Oh ya, I almost forgot the best part which is the accuracy of the Tikka. There is two words that describe Tikka's accuracy and that is "Tack Driver". AWESOME GUN! Good job to Sako, Tikka, and Beretta for another fine product. Sincerely, Jason H.

I ran into a situation...
I ran into a situation when I first pulled out my bolt to insert it into the gun. I could get about half way with the bolt and it wouldn't go any further. The shroud (the plastic piece on the bolt) was not lining up in the action and I found out why. When I pulled the bolt out I put the bolt into de-cock mode which turned the shroud keeping it from going into the action. I found out the solution to the problem: Take the bolt and place it into a vice with a towel around it. Have the bolt facing away from you like you were cocking your gun. Now take the shroud and just turn it with some force clockwise. No pulling or pushing just turning. When it clicks into place a red dot will show out the end of the shroud which is the other safety feature. Now place the bolt in and it should be lined up and will slide right in. Now lets talk about the gun since I fianlly got the bolt in to play with it. I must say that I have owned several rifles being made by Remington, Savage, Marlin, and Winchester. Not one of them were as smooth or beautiful as the Tikka T3 Hunter. i was afraid of buying a wood stock because of the experience I've had (Savage) with cheap looking wood stocks. The action is so smooth with just a little lift the bolt slides up almost automatically. The trigger is set at exactly 3 lbs and is very, very, crisp and clean. I "WAS" a big Remington man until now. I don't mean to bash any of these rifle makers but until you pick up a Tikka T3 and play with it you'll just keep on wondering. I did play with the action of a T3 lite SS and thought that it wasn't quite as smooth as the Hunter maybe because of the stainless having a little more surface friction than the norm. Anyways, this is without a doubt the best gun that money will buy without spending $$$$$$$$$$$$$ at a gun shop. Good job Sako, Tikka, and Beretta for another great product. Sincerely, Jason Haffield
