The Tikka T3 Stainless Synthetic is a lightweight bolt-action rifle chambered in 6.5x55mm Swede. What can I say...it's...
What can I say...it's a Tikka! Definitely one of the smoothest bolts you will ever use to chamber a round. The 6.5x55 Swede round is excellent at long distance. The recoil was a little heavier than expected but not too bad. Similar to a 308 round. Do yourself a favor and purchase an upgrade to the factory recoil pad (I used a LimbSaver AirTech Precision-Fit Recoil Pad 10803) and it certainly helps. The gun weight is excellent and could be carried around all day.

Here in Hawaii we have...
Here in Hawaii we have lots of Axis deer, Mouflon , Feral goats and wild hogs. It is hard to find ammo for the 6.5 swede here, so I order on line through graf and sons. I have to say that the 6.5 is an excellent cartriage, and have taken everything here in Hawaii with no problem. The Tikka t3 is an awesome preformer bar-none. I am stoked with my purchase thank you "BUDS GUNS" for having a hard to get rifle in stock!

As I get older, "less"...
As I get older, "less" becomes "more". Less weight, less recoil, less maintenance, less price all become more important. The Tikka 6.5x55 does a good job of being "more" on all accounts. Using "cheapest" imported ammo (I bought it for the brass), 1.5" groups were easy using a 4x scope. My two 16FHSS Savages w/Accustock (250 Savage and 7mm WSM) shot better initial groups (sub MOA), but I used handloads testing them. I haven't tried handloads/good bullets as yet with the Tikka. My wife liked the rifle so much I had to buy another.
