Fantastic rifle, some...
Fantastic rifle, some things to note. Mine was quite dirty on the inside, dried grease and brass and steel from when it was machined made it pretty rough right out of the box. I would recommend that you fully disassemble and clean your 1866 before taking it to the range. The blueing on the barrel and magazine tube are excellent and the finish of the brass parts is quite nice. Uberti doesn't polish these to a mirror finish from the factory so you may want to get some brass polish if thats the look you are after. The springs are a little heavy as is the trigger pull. The magazine spring is quite stiff out of the box, it will wear in with time but again something worth keeping in mind. Luckily none of the screws were over torqued, just take you time and use a good set of screw drivers. This is a wonderful rifle that is well worth the money in my opinion.
