Transaction through Buds was flawless as usual! I Love Buds. Unfortunately I think that this will be my first and last Uberti. Rifle runs really well and fit and finish appeared to be beautiful. AT FIRST! The problem is the quality of the wood furniture. It is horribly soft and the butt stock is all chipped up and scratched already. All of this simply from carrying in the woods around my property. I have an old 870 that I hunted with and REALLY put through its paces for almost 35 years now. The 870 shows some signs of wear for sure. But it looks WAY better than this Uberti does. The Uberti did not come out of the safe until Christmas day. Which was quite literally 9 days ago. The wood on this Uberti looks horrible already. I am not good with computers but if I can figure out how to post pictures then I definitely will. I would rate Buds 5 stars for sure. But this Uberti is such a disappointment. ESPECIALLY for the price. I was SO excited about this rifle! What a disappointment...

This is a well-made...
This is a well-made gun with a great finish. It came out of the box right on target at 25 yards with 158 grain .38 Special ammunition. Capacity with .38 Special is 10+1 instead of 9+1. The action is smooth and there is just something that feels right with an 1873 lever-action. The trigger is heavy compared to other lever-actions I have, but it isn't unmanageable. The gun is very handy and a great overall size. Very pleased with my purchase.
